Dr. Gunn’s special clinical interests include pediatric and binocular vision, primary eyecare, contact lenses, as well as diagnosis and management of ocular diseases such as dry eye disease.
Dr. Gunn is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the Greater Kansas City Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Gunn’s commitment to providing quality eyecare is exemplified by her past work with the Student Volunteers of Optometric Service to Humanity, where she traveled to Ecuador to provide free eyecare to those in underserved populations.
A native of Northeast Kansas, Dr. Gunn embraces the Midwestern lifestyle, enjoying concerts, local dining spots, and adventures with her husband, Alex, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Phog. She pursued her education at Washburn University in Topeka, KS, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. After returning to the Kansas City Metro area, she married her high school sweetheart, Alex. She looks forward to establishing a relationship with each patient and creating personalized care plans tailored to their individual needs.
